Come join TAG Young Professionals for a networking social at the Hawks vs. Clippers game.
Your ticket will give you exclusive early access to the arena at 5:00 PM. The evening will begin with a tour of the newly transformed State Farm Arena. From there you will move to the Early Entry section, right behind the Hawks bench to watch warm-ups until the genera public is allowed to enter. Game section is General Admission with an unobstructed view from the new Front Porch area. This is great because you will be there for early entry so you can likely get in the first row and your group can seat themselves how they wish! Tickets include a $10 food and beverage voucher.

TAG North Metro Executive Luncheon Series Presenting … Derek Harp, Founder of The Cyber List

Derek has served as a founder, CEO, or advisor of early-stage companies for the last 20 years with a frequent focus on cyber security.

Most recently, he has founded The Cyber List, LLC with a mission to make cyber security decision making and vendor choices more accessible to non-technical business leaders. Derek is also the founder and Chairman of the Control System Cyber Security Association International (CS2AI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local practitioner peer groups around the globe. He is currently a co-founder and board member of NexDefense, Inc., an Atlanta software company focused on the specific security needs of industrial control systems (ICS) asset owners.

Derek’s experience also includes co-founding the ICS Cyber Security business at the SANS Institute, serving as the founding GICSP Certification Steering committee chair and CEO and co-founder of LogiKeep, Inc. At LogiKeep, Inc., where he was the co-inventor of Intellishield™, a pioneer IT security product which was later acquired by Cisco Systems. Derek is a former U.S. Navy Officer with experience in combat information management, communications security, and intelligence. Derek pulls from his decades of experience as an entrepreneur, business owner and in cyber security to share interesting and relevant stories with his audiences.

Derek lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Trisha and their two young sons. He enjoys spending his free time volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and teaching people to SCUBA dive.

In partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, The Advanced Technology Development Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the Technology Association of Georgia, the event will be an opportunity for business and community leaders to explore and share the innovations and partnerships that are building a stronger future for the city.

What is it? 

This event is a Tabletop exercise for individuals within the Healthcare industry. The Tabletop exercise provides a real-life simulation of a cyber incident and provides real life experience of working an incident. 

Who is it for? 

The Tabletop exercise is for anyone within healthcare as it addresses operational challenges during an incident as well as technical staff. Some of the positions it’s a perfect fit for are: C-suite, Leadership, IT, Information Security, and  Finance Operations professionals. 

Why a Tabletop exercise?

They possess the latest knowledge, intelligence and know how on the latest in cyber security threats. Our workshops and trainings are fascinating, engaging, practical and contain cases and scenarios from real life situation. Our goal is for each student to leave with 3 practical take- away they can implement immediately after the training to make themselves and the organization more secure.

Bio:


Randy Trzeciak is Technical Manager of CERT’s Enterprise Threat and Vulnerability Management Team and the Director of the CERT Insider Threat Center at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute.  The team’s mission is to assist organizations in improving their security posture and incident response capability by researching technical threat areas; developing and conducting information security assessments; and providing information, solutions and training for preventing, detecting, and responding to illicit activity. Randy has over 27 years’ experience in a wide-range of topics including: insider threat, cybersecurity, software engineering, project management, information security, and database design, development, and maintenance.  In addition to his role with CERT, he also has a dual appointment as Program Director for the Masters of Science in Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM) program and CERT professor at Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College, Graduate School of Information Systems and Management.

Event Overview: 
During this session, attendees will learn practical strategies for building an effective insider threat program, to mitigate threats from malicious and non-malicious insiders (current/former employees, contractors, sub-contractors, supply chain, and other trusted business partners).  During the talk, numerous insider incidents will be presented to detail how incidents tend to evolve over time.  The session will conclude by reviewing best practices for the mitigation of insider threats and presenting a framework to develop insider threat controls, highlighting the development of behavioral and technical potential risk indicator development, deployment, and measurement.  CPU – 3hrs

TAGit Golf Tournament 2019

We’ll be back this fall for our 14th annual TAGit golf tournament. This sell-out event funds TAG and the TAG Education Collaborative.

Since its inception, the TAG Education Collaborative has given over $200,000 in scholarships to assist high school students in pursing technology careers. TAGit is one of several programs that supports the TAG Education Collaborative’s STEM initiatives and the programs that go along with it.
