George has been a Senior Director of Business Development in DHL Supply Chain’s Retail business since September 2016. Prior to that, he led part of the North American Solutions Design team, focusing on network strategy and transformational projects. Additionally, he was the Global Lead for DHL’s Supply Chain’s Automation Practice that works to develop and implement advanced technologies such as Augmented Reality, robotics, AGV’s, and cutting-edge systems solutions. His focus is on creating and delivering innovative solutions for DHL’s clients around e-Commerce, omni-channel, and other Retail operations to help them achieve their business objectives.
Since joining DHL / Exel in 2013, George has also worked in Solutions Design focused on retail, automotive, and consumer products distribution center designs.
Prior to joining DHL, George spent 10 years in the supply chain consulting practices of Tompkins International and Fortna, designing networks and distribution centers, conducting site assessments, and implementing large projects. He has also held other operational and engineering leadership roles with Ralph Lauren, QVC, and UPS and spent 5 years in the commercial printing industry.
George holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Flint, Michigan. He earned his MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
