Brian Sondergaard is a Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Fiserv, a recognized leader in financial services technology enabling clients to achieve best-in-class results by driving quality and innovation in payments, processing services, risk and compliance, customer and channel management, and business insights and optimization. In his current role, Brian leads global delivery and IT operations for the Digital Channels division, where he is accountable for development of market-leading mobile and online banking solutions that enable financial institutions to enhance the way their customers live and work today.
Widely known as a strategic thinker, with a passion for architecture, Brian is recognized as an expert in the creation of lean organizational capabilities and development methodologies that lead to improved business performance and sustainable growth. He has demonstrated more than 30 years of successful enablement of business agility and progressive IT operations spanning all aspects of product development, from strategic planning to organizational design and transformation.
Brian was recognized in 2015 by the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA) as the Georgia CIO of the Year in recognition of outstanding technology leadership, innovation, business value creation, and community involvement. He is actively involved in the Atlanta IT community where he serves on the GCLA Advisory Board while supporting local organizations such as TechBridge and the Technology Association of Georgia. Prior to his current 15-year career with Fiserv, Brian held technology leadership positions at Carreker, CheckFree, the Federal Reserve Bank, and the United States Air Force.
Brian and his wife, Sherry, live in Berkeley Lake, GA, and have six children and four grandchildren, whom they adore.
