By Larry K. Williams, TAG President and CEO

As 2022 comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being such an important part of TAG’s work and mission. It is always difficult to find the words that accurately convey the depth of our gratitude for the truly humbling way you have supported us in the last year.

I want to make it clear that none of our achievements, whether it be the launch of our Bridge Builders initiative or the passing of crucial technology legislation, would have been possible without our team and staff, our board of directors, our members and the technology ecosystem at large.

With every new year comes new opportunities. But, this year, I’d like to take a new approach: reflection instead of resolution. There is no better time than now to take stock of the year that has gone by.

In 2022, TAG continued to be a high-value asset for its members. We covered and connected our community around important topics and events. Our advocacy efforts contributed to improving Georgia’s business climate, which ranked #1 place to do business for the 9th year in a row. We supported aspiring and emerging tech talent through internship and apprenticeship opportunities as well as workforce development programs. We heavily focused on DE&I to promote shared prosperity across our state. And, the list goes on.

I’m convinced that the best is yet to come for our innovation economy. Yet, I want to encourage you to take a moment and reflect on what we have accomplished thus far. I am constantly impressed by the resilience, ingenuity and passion of the technology community throughout Georgia.

I wish each and every one of you health, happiness and prosperity in 2023!
