ATLANTA (Sept. 19, 2023) – Vertice AI, an AI firm that leverages analytics to improve credit union member participation, was named the winner of the 2023 Innovation Challenge during this month’s Fintech South conference, produced by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

Mitch Rutledge, CEO of Vertice AI, accepts the Innovation Challenge Award on Mainstage at Fintech South 2023.

Vertice AI was one of ten companies in the 2023 Innovation Challenge cohort and participated in a four-week mentorship program to further develop its business, products and solutions. Three of the ten companies, including Arbo Technologies, Infinite Giving and Vertice AI were then invited as semi-finalists to pitch their company to a panel of industry expert judges live at Fintech South.

“Georgia is the place for established fintechs to do business and a place for startups to flourish,” said Larry Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “Congratulations to Vertice AI as this year’s winner of the Innovation Challenge, and for bringing strong competition to an innovative fintech market.”

Following the three pitches, Vertice AI was selected to receive a $25,000 cash prize and a free year of admission in the ATDC Accelerate program.

“We had a tremendous class coming through this year’s FinTech South Innovation Challenge,” said Robert E. (RED) Daniel, co-chair of the Innovation Challenge and FinTech Catalyst at The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). “Mitch did a phenomenal job outlining his value proposition: to help small community banks and credit unions find better ways to connect and engage their customers, thereby better supporting their communities.”

“Being recognized as the winner of the 2023 Innovation Challenge at Fintech South is an incredible honor,” said Mitch Rutledge, CEO of Vertice AI. “This achievement is not just a testament to our unwavering dedication at Vertice AI, but also an affirmation of our commitment to revolutionizing financial services for community institutions. It gives us enormous pride and drives us to continue pushing boundaries.”
