ATLANTA (August 22, 2023)The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Georgia’s most prominent organization dedicated to growth in Georgia’s technology industry, today announces the cohort for the 2023 Innovation Challenge as part of the annual Fintech South conference. Innovation Challenge is an annual prize given to one company based in or founded in the state of Georgia that has a focus in financial technology.

The ten selected companies in the Innovation Challenge cohort participate in a four-week mentorship program to further develop their innovative businesses, products and solutions. Three of the ten companies will later be selected as finalists and deliver a presentation live at Fintech South on September 13th. A panel of prestigious, investor judges will vote on their favorite of the three presentations. The winner of the Innovation Challenge will then receive a $25,000 cash prize and a free year of admission in the ATDC Accelerate program.

“We are thrilled to welcome one of the strongest cohorts we’ve had to the 2023 Fintech South Innovation Challenge, which has set a new record for applications in its ninth year,” said Reese Porter, Co-Chair of the Innovation Challenge at Fintech South.

TAG thanks this year’s many collaborative sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor, Truist, as well as our Gold Sponsors deluxe, Omni Technologies, NCR and Sensedia.

The highly competitive cohort member companies have just been selected and include:

  • Arbo Technologies
  • BabyFever
  • CryptoKlout
  • EpocHarvest
  • Gabriel Money
  • Infinite Giving
  • InsurAware
  • Rainbook
  • Transend
  • Vertice AI

“The Georgia economy needs bright startups as much as global organizations,” said Larry Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “The Innovation Challenge is a great way for small fintech companies to find their roots and grow in the state of Georgia. While there is only one winner, all of these companies express the ambition and drive it takes to innovate in the fintech industry.”

The winner of the Innovation Challenge will be announced at Fintech South after live voting by the judge on September 13th at the Georgia World Congress Center.
