ATLANTA (March 23, 2021) – Fintech South, the southeast’s largest event dedicated to financial innovation, is now accepting applications for the Fintech South Innovation Award. The annual program recognizes U.S. fintech startups with ties to Georgia. Finalists will have the opportunity to present on the main stage at Fintech South on June 24, 2021 for the chance to win a $25,000 cash prize.
Part of the Fintech South conference, produced by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the Fintech South Innovation Challenge is open to early-stage companies who have raised less than $1 million in funding and are based in or committed to relocating to Georgia. To qualify, eligible fintech startups must first apply and be accepted into the four-week Innovation Challenge Education and Mentoring program.
Up to 10 startups will be selected to participate in the program, which offers relevant educational sessions, mentoring from industry veterans, as well as access to a network of industry leaders based in Georgia. The program concludes with a “pitch night,” where a panel of judges will select three finalists to present and compete for the $25,000 Fintech South Innovation Award, presented virtually at Fintech South June 22 – 24, 2021.
“TAG’S FinTech South Innovation Challenge is another great example of our community’s commitment to helping businesses of all sizes grow and thrive,” said Larry K. Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “As champions of the Innovation Economy, and on behalf of our members, we’re excited to provide access to financial and mentoring support for these promising fintech companies.”
