Over 20 years ago, we created TAG-Ed to strengthen the technology community’s future workforce and equip young people with the skills they need to face the demands of the growing labor market. Today, TAG-Ed provides exposure through a wide variety of programs including student internships, career preparation, professional apprenticeships, and leadership opportunities. As such, TAG-Ed continues to help shape the possibilities for the talent of tomorrow.
This week, we hosted our 20th annual TAGit golf tournament at TPC Sugarloaf Country Club in support of TAG-Ed’s mission. The event was a great success, as we welcomed more than 150 golfers, representing 36 companies and received support from 24 sponsors. While the golf tournament was a day full of fun, it was also much more than that. Our dynamic technology community had the opportunity to network with one another and build relationships all in support of a worthy cause.
I am incredibly thankful to our technology community for its continued support of TAG-Ed’s goal of providing vital pathways to STEAM careers for students across Georgia. In particular, I want to extend a special thank you to Ed Fisher, Founder of The Big Green Egg, for his generous donation from the Edward R. Fisher Charitable Foundation.
