ATLANTA, GA (March 4, 2025) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is proud to announce that Tope Awotona, CEO and Founder of Calendly, has been selected as the newest inductee into the prestigious Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia.

Sponsored by PwC US since its inception in 1993, the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia recognizes exceptional leaders who have made significant contributions to the state’s technology ecosystem. Past inductees include notable visionaries such as CNN founder Ted Turner, Georgia Governor Zell Miller, and last year’s induction of Marc Gorlin of the crowdsourced delivery platform Roadie.

“Tope Awotona’s remarkable career journey—culminating in the founding of Calendly—is a testament to his vision, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Kevin Kelly, Managing Partner of PwC Atlanta office. “By revolutionizing scheduling, Tope has not only built a globally recognized platform but has also helped drive the growth of Georgia’s tech ecosystem. His story is an inspiration to innovators everywhere, and we are proud to celebrate his achievements as the newest inductee into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia.”

About the Honoree:

Awotona started his journey as a former software salesman for tech firms including IBM, Perceptive Software, and Dell Technologies. He founded Calendly in 2013 after becoming aggravated at the back-and-forth emails required to schedule meetings. His vision was simple; by automating scheduling for individuals, teams and businesses online, growth and increased productivity will follow. Since its inception, Calendly has evolved to over 20 million users and is poised to grow in the coming years.

“The induction of Tope should stand as a testament to his extraordinary accomplishments and dedication to our state’s amazing advancements to become ideal headquarters for the technology industry,” said Larry K. Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “With his steadfast commitment for a better, easier workplace where members can be interconnected even when in separate work spaces, Tope was a natural choice for the Hall of Fame.”

The induction ceremony will take place on April 16th, 2025 during the Georgia Technology Summit, TAG’s premier annual event that brings together over 1,200 technology leaders and innovators at the annual showcase of Georgia’s most innovative companies.
