ATLANTA (September 27, 2019) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology ecosystem, has launched a new council dedicated to strengthening the missions of TAG’s 25 professional Societies.

TAG’s 25 Societies bring together tech leaders and companies from leading industry sectors for compelling events, peer engagement and leadership opportunities. Led by TAG members, the Societies convene leaders from tech sectors including information security, cloud technology, digital health, supply chain and logistics, data science and analytics, sales leadership, marketing and other vital niche communities that power the tech ecosystem.

The Chair Emeritus Council (CEC), comprised of previous Board Chairs of TAG Societies, will serve as an advisory group helping to steer strategy and policy for the Societies and support their growth.

“It’s been a privilege to work with TAG executive leadership and the Society Leadership Council Chair, Kyle Tothill Co-Founder and Managing Partner of eHire, in forming the first TAG Chair Emeritus Council (CEC) to recognize the brilliant leadership of former TAG society chairs,” said Senour Reed, Director, Jabian Consulting and current Chair Emeritus Council Chair.

“The inaugural CEC members have delivered extraordinary thought leadership and volunteer work in developing top performing TAG societies during their tenure as chairs. As TAG leaders, our council work will continue to support TAG’s mission to educate, promote, influence and unite Georgia’s technology community as it helps fuel the innovation economy for the 21st century,” Reed said.

Together, TAG Societies put on more than 150 events and programs each year covering emerging industry trends, hot topics, thought leadership and awards. Each year, a TAG Society Board Chair is recognized for the TAG Impact Award, presented at TAG’s annual event, The Summit.
