NXT Communications Corporation (NXTCOMM) and the Southeast Chapter of SSPI announced today that Carl Novello, NXTCOMM Chief Technology Officer, will be the featured speaker at SSPI Southeast’s member Zoom meeting on Sept. 23 beginning at 5:15 p.m. ET.
Novello brings two decades of advanced satellite communications system and RF antenna design leadership to NXTCOMM’s product development effort.
Novello will discuss the latest advances in satellite antenna technology and new electronically steered antennas (ESAs) that are mission-critical to the broadband revolution underway with today’s explosion in new satellite high-throughput constellations, especially in low Earth orbit.
“The promise of enhanced broadband connectivity hinges on getting the antenna right. Today’s mechanically steered antennas cannot deliver the performance needed for these high-throughput constellations,” says Novello.
NXTCOMM, a new antenna tech player based in metro Atlanta, is commercializing proven ESA technology with Georgia Tech Research Institute. The company announced its AeroMaxSM high-performance flat panel antenna in June and is preparing to flight test the Ku-band version of its antenna subarray next month.
Novello joined NXTCOMM after serving as Vice President of Solutions for Kymeta Corp., where he led design of the company’s flat panel ESA antennas for the mobile marketplace, and as Vice President of Product and Product Management for Intellian Technologies.
NXTCOMM is offering a $50 gift card to one attendee as a door prize. The Zoom meeting is free but has limited space. Members and non-members can register via Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/satellite-antenna-technology-the-latest-in-steerable-antenna-arrays-tickets-121378320825?ref=estw.
