LocatorX (www.locatorx.com), which provides accurate, inexpensive and flexible tracking technology to companies across a variety of industries, announced today that Pat Pickren has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
As CTO, Pickren will manage the growing LocatorX product management team and oversee all product initiatives from design to execution. Pickren will report to President and CEO Scott Fletcher.
“Pat has proven that he is a passionate leader who understands our mission and our potential for continued innovation,” said Fletcher. “He provides our customers with the industry intelligence they require while continuously improving our solutions to successfully meet all of their needs.”
“I am thrilled to step into the role of CTO, particularly during this time of rapid change in the supply chain and logistics industry,” said Pickren. “LocatorX is uniquely positioned to streamline logistics, increase sustainability and eliminate counterfeiting while also improving customer experience with our high ROI offerings. I am looking forward to improving and advancing our products as we continue to explore new applications in additional industries.”
LocatorX technology enables brands and consumers to access an item’s current location and audit trail from its origin, providing protection against theft, counterfeiting and product diversion while increasing consumer engagement with manufacturers.
Prior to joining LocatorX, Pickren was with Ultimate Software for over 12 years in product management, rising to the role of Senior Director of Product Strategy. In his nearly 20-year career, Pickren also gained experience working with software and technology companies such as Ceridian and RSM McGladrey Employer Services.
LocatorX’s suite of solutions include unique 2D bar codes, an NFC/Bluetooth-encrypted chip and an upcoming Global Resource Locator to be powered by a Solid-State Miniature Atomic Clock. The clock is the first of its kind, and is patented by the University of Oxford, which has granted LocatorX exclusive rights to the technology for commercial purposes.
