ATLANTA –– The Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) at Georgia Tech, in partnership with the Georgia Center of Innovation, launched the Georgia Supply Chain Exchange. The database, provided at no cost, supports autonomous and efficient sourcing for manufacturers, providers and suppliers in Georgia.

“GaMEP at Georgia Tech serves as a trusted partner and resource for manufacturers in Georgia,” said GaMEP at Georgia Tech Director Tim Israel. “We are excited to offer this new collaborative and powerful tool that can drive growth and enhance competitiveness.”

More than 7,500 manufacturers operate in Georgia, comprising $73 billion or 9.5 percent of the gross domestic product, according to the National Association of Manufacturers. By joining the Georgia Supply Chain Exchange, participants can securely connect and collaborate, enhancing credibility, expanding operations, increasing visibility, optimizing costs and more.

“Our Center of Innovation team is proud to partner on the Georgia Supply Chain Exchange,” said Georgia Center of Innovation Executive Director David Nuckolls. “This useful tool provides more relevant data to our teams to better enhance supply chain connectivity throughout the state.”

Within the Georgia Supply Chain Exchange, manufacturers can claim/create an account, add opportunities and find providers/suppliers while providers/suppliers can claim/create an account and explore opportunities in- and out-of-state. To join the supply chain database and network, visit gscx.gamep.org/create-account.

“This database not only supports domestic manufacturing and supply chain optimization, but it also provides critical knowledge on opportunities and supply chains,” said GaMEP at Georgia Tech Supply Chain Project Manager Dean Hettenbach. “We look forward to leveraging this tool to understand and improve supply chain capacity and resiliency.”

The GaMEP at Georgia Tech developed the database as a result of a $400,000 Supply Chain Optimization and Intelligence Network grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2023.
