ATLANTA — The J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University now offers three AI graduate certificates aligned to how organizations build and apply artificial intelligence capabilities as the technology continues to reshape organizations and the workforce.
The certificates reflect three distinct ways professionals engage with AI, from developing solutions to designing systems that scale to leading AI-driven transformation within organizations.
Each certificate can be completed in as few as two semesters and is offered in both in-person and online formats. The programs are designed for working professionals seeking to build new AI capabilities, as well as recent graduates who want to enter the workforce with applied AI experience. No prior coding experience is required.
“Organizations increasingly need professionals who can apply AI within business functions, not just technical specialists,” said Richard D. Phillips, dean of the Robinson College of Business. “Our goal is to develop AI builders, architects, and transformation leaders who can apply AI responsibly to create value in their organizations.”
Recent graduates report that the skills gained have helped them better understand how to apply AI tools in real business environments.
“The certificate gave me a strong foundation. Now I understand AI concepts at a deeper level, and I can speak more confidently with customers, and recognize where AI adds value in business scenarios,” said Abdulhakeem Olaoluwa, a recent graduate of the Gen AI and Machine Learning for Business certificate program who works as a digital solutions advisor for SAP. “AI is becoming part of everything, so having both business knowledge and AI proficiency makes me feel prepared for the future.”
Together, these certificates provide a comprehensive approach to developing AI capability across roles and industries.
