ATLANTA — The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), the state of Georgia’s technology incubator, today announced 15 of its portfolio companies have been accepted to participate in the Venture Atlanta 2022 Conference.
Now in its 15th year, Venture Atlanta is one of the country’s most prestigious venture capital conferences and the largest such gathering in the Southeast. The conference boasts 700 alumni companies that have raised more than $6.5 billion in funding and in excess of $17 billion in exits.
Of this year’s more than 500 applicant companies, 88 were selected to showcase their businesses to 1,200 conference attendees representing 350 investment firms from across the United States.
“We’re extremely enthusiastic to celebrate these 15 companies,” said ATDC Director John Avery. “Exposure at Venture Atlanta affords them positive media coverage, live pitch opportunities, and a forum for high-end networking with active investors who can fundamentally change their growth trajectory.”
This year’s active ATDC companies selected include 10 startups in the Seed-Stage Showcase category: Arcum, CIRT, Eyegage, MyFloc, PorterLogic, Skintelligent, Solar Inventions, Swipe Credit, Travelsist, and Vieaura.
Four ATDC companies have been selected Early-Stage Venture attendees that will make pitches to investors:
- Carpool Logistics: A tech platform for shipping cars enabling multiple clients to share space on one truck, lowering cost and emissions.
- Kayhan Space: A coordinated & autonomous satellite collision detection and avoidance platform reduces the response time to potential collision events.
- Mitivate: A value-based care plan benefit that coordinates high quality, cost-effective patient care for eligible specialty care procedures.
- Speedscale: Stress tests APIs to prevent production outages and reduce expensive pre-production cloud spend.
Rippleworx, an ATDC company which assesses employee talent and motivational needs for worker retention, performance, and growth, was selected to pitch as a Growth-Stage Venture Atlanta startup.
In addition to these companies, ATDC portfolio graduates and alumni are also included in the 2022 Venture Atlanta cohort.
Avery also said ATDC portfolio companies typically excel in investment industry forums like this one as 90% of all ATDC companies are still successfully operating in market five years post-graduation.
