Presenting at Fintech South on Aug. 27, 2024, the finalists for the Innovation Challenge will compete for a $25,000 prize.
ATLANTA, July 23, 2024 – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), today announced the cohort for the 2024 Innovation Challenge as part of the Fintech South conference. The Innovation Challenge is an annual prize given to one early-stage company based or founded in the state of Georgia that has a focus in financial technology.
“The Innovation Challenge is the ideal way for growth-stage fintech companies to find their roots and grow in the state of Georgia,” said Larry K. Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “The startups in this year’s cohort truly demonstrate why ‘Fintech Lives Here’ – our theme for this year’s Fintech South.”
The selected companies in the Innovation Challenge cohort participate in a four-week mentorship program to further develop their innovative businesses, products and solutions. Three of the semifinalist companies will later be selected as finalists and deliver a presentation live at Fintech South on Aug. 27 (Tuesday) at the Woodruff Arts Center on the main stage of Atlanta Symphony Hall.
“As we enter our 11th year of this program it is exciting to see such a broad range of fintech business models created here in Georgia. The companies’ value propositions include payments, investing, real estate, and financial management,” said Tommy Marshall, 2024 Fintech South Innovation Challenge Co-Lead.
A panel of prestigious investor judges will vote on their favorite of the three presentations, and the winner of the Innovation Challenge will then receive a $25,000 cash prize. The highly competitive cohort member companies selected include:
- Aiazing
- Better Forecasting
- CypherFace
- DeferAlly
- Ditch
- eStreamly
- Good Agriculture
- Jootal
- MapZot.AI
- Yonga Tech LLC
“What stands out about this year’s Innovation Challenge semi-finalists is the depth and breadth of fintech innovation,” said Robert E Daniel ‘RED’ of ATDC and 2024 Fintech South Innovation Challenge Co-Lead. “The diversity among the companies is represented not only among the categories of fintech – including AI, ecommerce, cybersecurity, and payments – but also especially among our founders’ range of ethnicities, genders, and even veteran-led startups.”
