Just in time for Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October, TAG’s Information Security Society announced it’s relaunching.

Thanks to all the society board members for coming together to help fight against the growing threat of cybercrime. Special kudos to Paul Farley, deputy CISO of NCR, for his leadership and vision in chairing TAG’s new InfoSec Society. The group will provide a welcoming platform for professionals in the field and help tackle critical issues like the cybersecurity skills shortage.

This effort should bolster TAG’s arsenal of defenses against cyberthreats, alongside the National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC). With foresight and vision, TAG created the NTSC to bring a private sector perspective to influence the current national policy discussions about cybersecurity and our critical infrastructure.

TAG’s relaunched Information Security Society will align with NTSC and kicks off with Build Your Own Security Lab on Oct. 25 as part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. In partnership with Randy Pargman of Binary Defense, this one-day virtual training session will share the basics of how to become a cybersecurity investigator and develop the skills needed for cyber threat hunting.

Best wishes to everyone associated with this important new society and congratulations on a successful launch at the start of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
