Recognizing Georgia’s Fintech Leaders & Innovators

As we draw closer to Fintech South, TAG has several initiatives lined up to highlight Georgia’s stature as a global fintech hub.

Starting in 2010 with the acknowledgment of retired Synovus Financial Corporation Chairman and CEO, Jimmy Blanchard, TAG’s Fintech Society set a precedent. Each year, the Society inducts an industry leader into the Georgia Fintech Hall of Fame. At Fintech South, we’ll be introducing this year’s inductee – retired Global Payments CEO Jeff Soan live on stage.

In addition, with our annual Innovation Challenge, TAG is committed to celebrating the next generation of fintech innovators throughout Georgia. Participants first complete a four-week mentorship program to hone their strategies, then pitch to a group of all-star fintech VCs and receive candid feedback. The top three finalists will present their pitches live at Fintech South, and the judges will vote on the winner. The winning startup will receive a $25,000 cash prize along with a year-long pass to the ATDC Accelerate program.

Fintech South will also be the stage for the ADVANCE Awards, which recognize the well-established fintech firms that have contributed to Georgia’s fintech ecosystem.
