TAG Corporate Development Society Announces Holiday Party & Alumni Mixer Featuring Fireside Chat with John Yates

ATLANTA — November 18, 2025 — The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Corporate Development Society today announced its upcoming Holiday Party & Alumni Mixer, featuring a Fireside Chat with John Yates, Partner at Gunderson Dettmer and one of Atlanta’s most influential voices in technology, venture capital, and innovation law. The event will take place Thursday, December 4, from 5:30–7:30 PM at the L.W. “Chip” Robert Jr. Alumni House at Georgia Tech.

Widely regarded for his decades of leadership in advancing Georgia’s innovation economy, Yates played a foundational role in the creation of the Corporate Development Society and has advised countless entrepreneurs, innovators, and dealmakers who helped shape the region’s technology landscape. During the fireside chat, he will share reflections on the early days of the Society, highlight memorable moments from his career, and offer insights into the evolution of Atlanta’s tech ecosystem.
