Georgia Day of Coding
December 10th

As you know computer science is foundational for all 21st century students today. Please join us to celebrate Computer Science Week December 8-14th with students all over Georgia and the world through the Hour of Code and Georgia Day of Code!

This year, in partnership with Code.org, TAG-Ed and TAG are presenting the Georgia Day of Code on December 10th 2014. Georgia Day of Code is an opportunity for teachers, students and individuals of all ages to learn more about these machines we use to work, play, and communicate every day.

Please help with the grassroots, teacher-driven campaign reach 100 million students by the end of the year by signing up to participate in Hour of Code Wednesday, December 10, 2014 or during Computer Science Education Week.

What’s an Hour of Code?

Hour of Code is an introduction to computer science designed to show that anyone can learn the basics. Code.org provides hour-long tutorials featuring Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Angry Birds, and Plants vs. Zombies — for your computer, tablet, smartphone, or with no computer at all!

No experience needed from teachers and students!

We owe it to today’s students to start with one hour. Let’s make history.  Sign up to participate, recruit a fellow teacher, or get your whole school to join the fun.

One Georgia Participating School will win $10,000 worth of technology!

One lucky school in Georgia will win $10,000 worth of technology. Organize the Hour of Code for every student in your school to qualify. Fill out the form here to apply.

96 lucky classrooms win a video chat with a guest speaker!

96 lucky classrooms will be invited to join a video chat to celebrate the Hour of Code during December 8-14. Your students will be able to ask questions and chat with technology-industry leaders. Check out last year’s chats with Bill Gates, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Susan Wojcicki of Google and Gabe Newell of Valve.

Any classroom (public or private) within the U.S. or Canada is eligible to win this prize. Your whole school does not need to apply.
