Visa's Chief Technology Officer, Matt Quinlan to Speak at 2013 Georgia Technology Summit
Quinlan to address GTS audience on the advancement of financial technology
ATLANTA (February 19, 2013) - Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) today announced Matt Quinlan, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Visa Inc. , will be one of the keynote speakers at the 9th annual Georgia Technology Summit on March 20, 2013.
In his presentation to GTS attendees, Quinlan will discuss how current financial technology is connecting consumers, business, banks and governments around the globe. His talk will highlight how technological advances will continue to evolve digital currency around the globe.
Appointed CTO in 2008, Quinlan is responsible for Visa Inc.'s technology strategy and planning functions, enterprise architecture, technology research and development and investment portfolio planning and management. Quinlan also oversees Visa Inc.'s strategic IT outsourcing program including offshore development centers.
Previously, Quinlan served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Visa Asia Pacific and was responsible for all aspects of technology planning, systems development and operations, as well as client support services. Prior to joining Visa in 2002, Quinlan was based in Sydney and held senior technology positions with Boral, Bay Networks and Hypertec.

The 2013 Georgia Technology Summit is expected to draw a crowd of more than 1,000 C-level executives, entrepreneurs, technology professionals and academia to celebrate and recognize Georgia's technology community. In addition to presentations from some of the top technology influencers in the nation, forty new companies will be named to TAG's Top 40 Innovative Companies and the newest member of the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia will be inducted.
