Tech executives, entrepreneurs and professionals in the retail industry are invited to the inaugural meeting of the TAG Retail Technology Society
ATLANTA (April 11, 2013) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, will host its first meeting of the TAG Retail Technology Society at AirWatch Corporate Headquarters on April 22, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve as the chair for the Retail Technology Society” said Liz Simpson, Senior Manager of Applications at Spanx Inc and the society’s new chairperson. “The launch of this important TAG group perfectly aligns with the launch of our new Spanx Retail Stores. The future of both is very bright and the journey promises to be rewarding as we come together to shape our worlds.”
More than 75, retail-focused tech professionals, executives and entrepreneurs are expected to attend the event, which will officially launch TAG’s 32nd professional society. Georgia has long been a regional center for retail with companies offering everything from furniture to fast food. The formation of the TAG Retail Technology Society will help ensure that the state’s retail industry continues to evolve as new technologies emerge.
“The convergence of smart phone, electronic payment, and social-media technologies are changing the very face of retail,” said Tino Mantella, TAG President and CEO. “The TAG Retail Technology Society will be a bridge between the buyers and sellers that are leading today’s retail innovations in Georgia.”
