ATLANTA, GA — May 25, 2017 – Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) announced today, in partnership with title sponsor, Honeywell, and presenting sponsor SAP, along with the TAG Mobility and TAG Cloud societies, that they will be hosting the second annual Internet of Things Symposium (IoT) on August 31, 2017 at the Renaissance Waverly in Atlanta.
“IoT is transforming nearly everything we do in business and in life as smart devices and technologies rapidly continue to connect us,” said TAG President and CEO Larry Williams. “Nearly every industry is being impacted. The evolution of how we develop and deliver products and services is changing for good. Georgia stands as one of the early adopters and leaders of all that is best in IoT. TAG is proud to host this year’s Symposium to provide a vibrant forum to hear and learn about where IoT is going next.”
The goal of the one-day conference, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 attendees, is to explore the exploding IoT industry and its impact on our State’s economy and business ecosystem.
Last year’s participating companies included Aaron’s, Inc., Cisco Systems, The Coca-Cola Company, First Data Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc., Verizon Wireless, VMWare, Inc., United Parcel Service (UPS), and more.
“We are greatly expanding the lineup of executive speakers and breakout sessions to accommodate the rapid growth in this industry,” said Dan Foster, IoT Symposium Chair. “The TAG IoT Symposium is specifically designed to position Georgia as a global leader in IoT, a market that’s expected to be more than $7 trillion by the year 2020.”
