TAG Announces New Quarterly Speaker Series in Perimeter Area
ATLANTA (April 22, 2013) –The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), in partnership with the Sandy Springs/Perimeter and Dunwoody Chambers of Commerce, will host a new quarterly speaker series under the banner of TAG Perimeter. Edwin Marcial, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer of IntercontinentalExchange, Inc., will kickoff the series as the featured speaker of its inaugural event, held on April 23 at the Ravinia Club.
The 2013 theme will focus on “Innovation.” Each month, an area corporate leader will discuss what innovative strategies or tools they use in their organization and/or their career.
“With the success of the TAG North Metro speaker series, we wanted to develop a similar event to serve our growing membership in the area,” stated Tino Mantella, president and CEO of TAG. “By partnering with the Sandy Springs/Perimeter and Dunwoody Chambers of Commerce, we hope to provide the Perimeter’s robust technology community with an intimate setting for networking as well as an opportunity to learn from some of the region's most influential and strategic thinkers.”
Since May of 2000, Marcial has been is responsible for all systems development and technology strategy at IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. He oversees the software design and development initiatives of information technology professionals in the areas of project management, architecture, software development and quality assurance. Marcial joined the software development team at Continental Power Exchange, Inc. in 1996 and has nearly 20 years of IT experience building scale systems in the energy industry.
