ATLANTA (April 2, 2013) - The Technology Association of Georgia(TAG)in partnership with the Arketi Group announced today that Mercer University has advanced to the Technology Tweet Championship Match on April 4 at noon. Mercer University will now face the winner of the "Follow-Me Four" round currently raging between AirWatch, a global provider of mobile device management solutions, and Ricky Steele, Chief Development Officer at Hunter Technical Resources. The outcome of today's round sets up a city-to city rivalry in the Championship match between Atlanta and Macon. Mercer University's historic campus is based in Macon.

The Technology Tweet Tournament is an exciting way to engage Georgia's technology and business community and support TAG's efforts to raise local, national and global awareness about the State's thriving technology sector.

Each player has only one tweet per round that must include the hashtag #WhereGALeads and a link to the 2013 State of the Industry: Technology in Georgia Report. Once the player tweets, it is up to his or her followers to retweet the original post. 16 teams have competed in this year's tournament including First Data, NexisLexis and even Georgia Lt. Governor, Casey Cagle.
