Industry Pioneers to be featured at 2014 Georgia Technology Summit 


Event to focus on “Innovation Connections: Celebrating a Decade and Beyond”



ATLANTA (March 3rd, 2014) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) announced today its speaker line-up of industry pioneers for the 2014 Georgia Technology Summit (GTS), which will be held on March 26th at the Cobb Galleria.


This year’s event will focus on “Innovation Connections: Celebrating a Decade and Beyond” and will feature scheduled keynoters:



  • Joe Plumeri- Senior Adviser to the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of First Data Corporation will offer his insights to the GTS audience.


  • Terry Jones- leading internet expert, founder of Travelocity.comand Founding Chairman of will share his unique perspective on innovation.


  • Ted Turner- The founder of CNN and Turner Broadcasting will make a rare public appearance in a one-on-one fireside chat with TAG President/CEO Tino Mantella.


GTS will also feature a special session with Carl Eschenbach, President and COO, VMware, with the John Marshal, President/CEO of Atlanta-based AirWatch .  Last month VMWare acquired AirWatch in a $1.54 billion deal.


In addition to the speakers, 40 new companies will be named to TAG’s Top 40/Top 10 Innovative Companies and the newest member of the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia will be inducted at the Summit. 


“For ten years, we have been uniting Georgia’s technology community in a day of celebration and learning,” said Tino Mantella, president and CEO of TAG. “This year’s Summit promises to be the best one yet as it will celebrate a decade of innovative connections in Georgia and beyond.”




The 2013 Georgia Technology Summit is expected to draw a crowd of more than 1,000 C-level executives, entrepreneurs, technology professionals and academia to celebrate and recognize Georgia’s technology community.
