Game On for Finalists in the TAG Technology Tweet Tournament

Final Match will determine "Twitter-Supremacy" via Tweets about Georgia's Technology Industry

ATLANTA (April 4, 2013) - The Technology Association of Georgia(TAG)in partnership with the Arketi Group announced today that Mercer University and Ricky Steele, Chief Development Officer at Hunter Technical Resources have advanced to the Technology Tweet Championship Match on April 4 at noon. Mercer University will now face Mr. Steele in what will be a Twitter battle that will rage across Georgia. Ricky Steele is based in the Metro Atlanta area , while Mercer University maintains campuses in Atlanta, Macon, Columbus and Savannah.

The Technology Tweet Tournament is an exciting way to engage Georgia's technology and business community and support TAG's efforts to raise local, national and global awareness about the State's thriving technology sector. The competition is the Twitter-version of the NCAA Tournament currently underway.

Each player has only one tweet per round that must include the hashtag #WhereGALeads and a link to the 2013 State of the Industry: Technology in Georgia Report. Once the player tweets, it is up to his or her followers to retweet the original post. 16 teams have competed in this year's tournament including First Data, NexisLexis and even Georgia Lt. Governor, Casey Cagle.
