Career Fair to Host Health IT Employers


Third Annual Health IT Career Fair coming March 6



ATLANTA (February 20, 2014) –TAG Health, a society of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, today announced its 3rd annual Health IT Career Fair will be held March 6th at Georgia State University’s Student Center.  The event, which will run from 10am until 2pm, will feature multiple employers and is expected to attract more than 200 job seekers of all levels and backgrounds, ranging from students to experienced IT professionals.


The industry is seeing a growing demand for project managers, sales representatives and implementation specialists. Health IT Career Fair sponsor and exhibitor, Streamline Health, is looking for experienced engineers and production analysts. Other participating employers include Carrolton-based Greenway, Alpharetta-based simplifyMD, and Atlanta-based LexisNexis.


“In the healthcare IT environment of today, both providers and vendors are seeking to recruit top talent to ensure regulatory deadlines are met and incentives are achieved,” stated Robert E. Watson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Streamline Health. “The TAG Health IT Career Fair gives us access to a large pool of qualified IT professionals in the Atlanta area.”


Georgia is recognized as the nation’s health IT leader with more than 250 health IT companies operating in the state. In Georgia, health IT is a $4 billion industry with a projected employment growth rate of more than 36%. Currently, there are more than 15,000 health IT employees in the state with an estimated need for more than 1,000 new employees by 2015.


TAG Health is hosting a Health IT Career Seminar with Resume Review and Job Search Prep on February 26th from 2pm to 8pm to help job seekers prepare their resumes and learn to work a career fair. Information for the prep session is available online at
