TAG 2018 Digital Media & Entertainment Industry Summit

November 14, 2018
11:30 AM - 2:30 PM

2470 Satellite Blvd. NW
Duluth, GA 30096

Event Overview

With the Critical acclaim of the FX series ‘Atlanta’ and ‘Drop the Mic,’ and Forbe’s Magazine listing Rap and Hip Hop as a 10 billion dollar industry as far back as 2004; there is no question urban music has far reaching global economic influence crossing all cultural and economic barriers. Here in Georgia, from the early artists like Raheem the Dream, DJ Smurf (aka Mr. Collipark) to such important top selling artists as 2 Chainz, CeeLo Green, Ciara, Kris Kross, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Soulja Boy, Usher, Young Jeezy, (the list goes on and on); Atlanta has stood out from other leading music centers like New York and Los Angeles as being a leader with its own stylistic influence and influencing the marketing and merchandising of a whole new urban culture. The Technology Association of Georgia’s Digital Media and Entertainment Society’s 2018 Summit examines Atlanta’s leadership as an economic driver to the Global Rap and Hip Hop music business and explores technological and traditional business convergence around it.
