“How to Win the Poker Game of Recruiting”
Over the past few years, the discussion of candidate qualifications between recruiters and hiring managers during an intake meeting has become much like a Saturday night poker game with friends, says presenter Eric Jaquith. The players put on their best “poker face” and devise a strategy that often involves withholding critical information from each other (intentional or not). That lack of critical information dramatically affects the outcome and who “wins”. But winning the poker game of recruiting (presenting the right candidate for the right job at the right time, every time) involves much more than simply discussing and looking for required and desired skills…you must know what additional critical information to gather upfront and how to quickly access and utilize it most effectively to win!
Eric will show us how to “think differently” when playing the recruiting game and will share some of his unique “must know” secrets, tips and tricks. Learn to improve your recruiting skills, utilizing the same strategies used to win poker games, and dramatically increase your odds of “winning” each time you play!
