TAG-Education Collaborative Statewide Internship Program

The TAG-Ed Summer Internship Program provides real-world experiences for high-achieving students with strong STEM aptitude. Students are placed in companies interested in investing in STEM talent and impacting the future technology workforce. The Development Authority of Columbia County is offering funding assistance to Columbia County businesses willing to participate in TAG Ed's Summer Internship Program.

TAG-Ed has placed 500 interns over the past six years. Our 2015 goal is to provide 175 internships. The internships are for 5 consecutive weeks between June 1 - Augusta 7, 2015. Interns work 20-30 hours/week. Host companies contribute $1250 per internship. $1,000 goes towards funding the students and the $250 for program administration.

In support of TAG-Ed's goal, the Development Authority of Columbia County is offering funding assistance to Columbia County businesses willing to participate in TAG Ed's Summer Internship Program. They are offering host companies a $500 matching grant to help offset the company's $1,250 fee to participate in the Summer Internship Program.

Companies Can Expect:

  • A turnkey intern placement process
  • Pre-screened interns with strong STEM skills
