The Coca-Cola Co. CIO Barry Simpson to Speak at The Summit Technology Showcase
Georgia’s Largest Technology Showcase Featuring Nationally Renowned Speakers
ATLANTA, GA -- (February 1, 2018) – Barry Simpson, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of The Coca-Cola Co., will be featured as a keynote speaker at Georgia’s largest technology showcase, The Summit, on March 20th at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Simpson will share his experience leading change, driving innovation, and creating value for customers through technology.
Simpson oversees all of the company’s global information technology strategy, services and operations. A nearly 30-year IT industry veteran, Simpson joined the Coca-Cola system in 2008 as Group CIO of the Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) Group and was responsible for the development and implementation of IT strategy for the CCA Group across multiple lines of business in six Asia-Pacific markets. He joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in January 2016 where he was responsible for overseeing IT services provided to all of the company’s business units worldwide. Before joining the Coca-Cola system, Simpson served in various IT leadership roles for Colgate-Palmolive based in Australia, Malaysia and the United States from 1990-2008.
The Summit is the Technology Association of Georgia’s largest annual event and is expected to draw more than 1,400 C-level technology executives, entrepreneurs and academic leaders from around the world,
The event will feature nationally recognized keynote speakers, winners of the Top 40 and Top 10 Innovative Georgia Companies competition, the newest inductee into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia, networking opportunities, and a two-day exhibitor showcase. Through interactive strategy sessions and more than a dozen breakout sessions, attendees will help chart the course for the State’s technology community for the coming year and beyond.
