ATLANTA, GA (February 16, 2017) – TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed), the charitable arm of the Technology Association of Georgia, is pleased to announce its Executive Host Committee for the ninth annual Vine Event. The Vine Event, an exclusive wine-tasting and auction, is TAG-Ed’s major fundraising event, with all proceeds benefitting STEM education initiatives in Georgia.
Attendees of The Vine Event will include 250 of Atlanta’s most dynamic business and technology leaders, including our Executive Host Committee: Dana Barrett (Host, Dana Barrett Show), Dan Brown (Chief Information Officer, National Christian Foundation), Jonathan Cox (Chief Information Officer, Kauffman Tire), Lee Crump (Group Vice President, Rollins, Inc.), Nancy D’Amico (Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, LeasePlan), Jay Ferro (Executive Vice President, Chief Information & Product Officer, EarthLink), Doug Jones (Vice President and Chief Information Officer, AGCO), Michael Kogon (Chief Marketing Officer/Chief Technology Officer, Pull-a-Part), Karen Painter (Head of Media Software & Services, Turner), Renee Pearson (Director of IT Global Innovation, Kimberly-Clark), and Tom Phillips (Chief Information Officer, Elavon).
This year, TAG-Ed aims to raise $100,000 at The Vine Event in order to continue and expand its many STEM education and enrichment initiatives. These include Georgia STEM Day, the signature High School Internship program, and summer coding camps for underserved students. Through community support at The Vine Event, TAG Education Collaborative can continue to engage over 1,000,000 students in STEM learning each year and, in turn, expand and diversify the STEM workforce pipeline in Georgia.
