Vice President, Information Technology
Nick is currently UPS Vice President of Information Technology.
In this role Nick has global responsibility for UPS’s industry leading portfolio of operations and automation technologies which enable the processing, sortation, and delivery of millions of packages each day in more than 220 counties and territories worldwide. Nick also heads the UPS Technology Strategy Group.
Nick chairs UPS’s Information Technology Strategy Committee and is a member of the UPS Information Technology Governance Committee, which is responsible for the direction of UPS technology investments, ensuring they stay aligned with the company’s business vision and strategy.
Prior to assuming this role, Nick was the UPS Transportation Technology Group (TTG) Vice President responsible for all technology solutions that enable the UPS Airlines, Worldport, the company’s state-of-the-art mega package processing facility, the UPS Global Transportation Network, and the UPS Global Customs Brokerage business.
Nick also served as, Vice President of UPS Customer Technology, where he was responsible for all solutions that directly touch the customer, including www.ups.com, MyChoice, customer-facing mobile solutions, UPS shipping technology, and the company’s visibility strategy and tracking solutions.
Nice has a proven track record of leading-large scale global organizations and initiatives, via a 30-year career that spans continents, lines of business, and corporate disciplines.
He has written and spoken globally on the topics of Green IT, Emerging Technologies, IOT, Big Data, Supply Chain Visibility, Mobility, Cloud Computing, Analytics, Global Supply Chain Management, Retail Technology, and Franchising
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Nick serves on the Advisory Council for ToolBank USA, the Advisor Board for the Kentucky Humane Society, is a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the Association of Telecom Professionals (ATP), and is a member of the Industrial Board of Advisors for the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
Recognitions include Computerworld Premiere 100 IT Leader 2014 and Information Week Elite 100 2015.
