Terms and Conditions
Intent
The intent of GRA/TAG Business Launch 2008 is to help entrepreneurs develop plans and launch certain types of high tech businesses in Georgia that then will be successful, grow and remain in Georgia. In doing this, the competition also seeks to create greater awareness that Georgia is a great place to invest in these types of businesses.
Terms & Conditions
- 1. All parties to the entry are identified and legally resided in state of Georgia as of February 18, 2008.
- 2. Entrant(s) intend to launch the proposed business in Georgia if win competition.
- 3. If Intellectual Property is involved, entrant(s) have obtained legal rights to use (or have identified plans to obtain) and there are no legal impediments to launching.
- 4. Any external funding that has been received is identified including the timing, sources and uses of this funding. Entrants agree to notify TAG if any additional funding is received or any additional funding commitments are received.
- 5. If existing business, length of time is provided as well as the amount and source of any revenue.
- 6. Entrant(s) understand and agree that TAG has final authority in all decisions about competition including the final award.
- 7. Entrant(s) understand no confidentiality of any information is provided.
- 8. Entrant(s) agree to waive all claims against TAG, GRA, any/all judges, mentors, other sponsors and/or participants in the event for any actions that occur as part of or related to participation in this event.
- 9. Entrant(s) understand and agree if any material misrepresentations are discovered, entrant(s) may be disqualified or have to immediately repay any cash and prizes that have been received.
- 10. Entrant(s) understand that receipt of the $100K cash prize requires approval by TAG of planned uses for the funds and acceptance of all terms and conditions in a Grant Agreement. Entrant(s) also understand funds may be distributed over time based on milestones achieved.
- 11. Entrant(s) understand and agree if winning company moves a majority of the business outside Georgia within 3 years (of award or launching business, whichever occurs later), the company has to repay TAG the $100K cash plus 8% annual interest or negotiate an agreement acceptable to TAG to recover the $100K cash prize plus 8% annual interest. Entrant(s) understand and agree that TAG has the sole discretion in determining whether a company has moved a majority of the business outside of Georgia.
