How to Apply

GRA/TAG Business Launch 2009

How to Apply

Entry in the GRA/TAG Business Launch Competition involves two steps: 1) a preliminary entry which is due by February 10, 2009 and 2) a final entry which is due by April 7, 2009. Both entries must be emailed to Kimberly@TAGonline.org as Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word file attachments no later than midnight on the due date. Please note that applicants will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Applicants that do not receive confirmation should contact Kimberly Wood at (404)920-2022.

For the February 10, 2009 preliminary entry, three items are required: (1) signed terms and conditions; (2) a completed questionnaire and (3) a brief summary of the business proposal.  The format of the summary in the preliminary entry is not specified but should at least provide a basic business proposal. In the past years, most preliminary entries have been one or two pages. The purpose of the brief summary submitted on February 10, 2009 is to assign mentors. This summary will not be used in subsequent judging. On the questionnaire you may indicate your interest in being assigned a mentor.

For the April 7, 2009 final entry, two items are required: 1) an executive summary of two pages or less and 2) a business plan of 20 pages or less.  The business plan must address at least the following four areas: (1) market, (2) technology, (3) management/ organization and (4) financials.  For more information about each click here.  For the executive summary, this format is preferred, though not required. This format may also be used in the preliminary entry.

The final entry received on April 7 will be used for the remainder of the competition. Following submissions on April 7, entries will be evaluated by a team of preliminary judges. Within approximately two weeks, entrants will be contacted regarding his/her selection as a semi-finalist.
