Talking Stimulus and Healthcare by reiboldt on February 27, 2009

As you may recall, this past January I chaired and moderated an event put on by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), where we brought together market thoughtleaders from the healthcare industry to discuss the impact of the financial crisis on healthcare.  We got such overwhelming support and attendance that we have teamed up again to put on a follow up event, where we will address the impact of the economic stimulus on the healthcare sector.  The event will be headed up by TAG, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA Georgia Chapter), and the Coker Group’s Economic Stimulus Task Force.

“The Economic Stimulus and Healthcare IT,” which will take place on March 12, 2009 at TAG’s headquarters (click here for more information), is the second in a series of events sponsored by TAG addressing healthcare and the financial crisis, and the first event teaming up with Coker’s Stimulus Task Force, launched to the public last week.  The event will feature a roundtable discussion led by a powerhouse panel of healthcare market and policy experts, including among others Jeffery Daigrepont (SVP, Coker Group), Sean Hogan (VP, IBM Healthcare Delivery Systems), and Wayne Oliver (Project Director, Center for Health Transformation).  The objective of the discussion will be to address the hard facts about the economic stimulus, and how policies shaping in Washington and in State Capitols throughout the nation will impact the adoption of healthcare IT in the near future.

Click here to register for the event or feel free to contact me for more information.  Also, you can find the announcement of the event from Coker here.
