Question of the hour: how did the economy get to where it is today? Or better yet, how long will this economy last? This month’s TAG Recruiting event focused on these questions and more as we discussed economic trends for 2009. Dr William Mounts, Jr (Interim Dean and Professor of Economics, Mercer University) and Chris Carrow (Major Account Executive, CareerBuilder) presented on the impacts our nation’s current economic slowdown will have on the hiring process and the job search. Both men also discussed subtle indicators of a rebound and a projection of when, or if, this rebound will occur. Attendees were then invited to participate in a question and answer session with the experts.
