TAG Marketing’s “Relationship/Guerilla Marketing”

Monday, September 22, 2008

Over 60 Atlanta Marketing professionals met on Thursday, September 18th to hear from four experienced Marketing executives on the topic of using viral and guerrilla marketing techniques to build marketing communities.  Marketing veterans Steve Roth from Mfg.com, Paul McKeon from The Content Factory, Steve McHugh of Business Objects and Tobi North from Sage Software discussed both the advantages and challenges of implementing social networking tools, blogs and other non-traditional Marketing tactics to build strong and lasting connections between Marketing organizations, customers and prospects.  The panel offered the group advice on how to implement community building marketing, how to measure and build a business case for these non-traditional approaches and what to watch for as these techniques are rolled out.

Although I would have preferred to see more African Americn execs, the information that I received was phenomenal.  Also, the fallacy that I had, that was laid to rest, is that corporate America didn’t give a hoot about its workforce.  I guest the statistical inferences gaithered from the “bottom line” figures brought about this corporate paradigm shift.  Nonetheless, my advocacy for universal healthcare seems much more attainable now.
