Erika James teaches, speaks, and consults on various topics surrounding Executive Leadership, and she is a leader in her own right. In November 2012 Erika James was named the new Senior Associate Dean for the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, Executive Education program.
As a member of Darden’s Executive Education faculty, ranked #1 by the Financial Times, 2004–2011, Erika produced a unique new offering in 2010 called Women Emerging in Leadership, given at the Darden School and across the globe in Dubai.

Dr. James earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Pomona College, a private liberal arts college in Claremont, California. Her Master of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology was received from the University of Michigan, where she also earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology.
Erika has taught at two of the top-ranked business schools in the world: The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and as a visiting professor at Harvard Business School at Harvard University.
She has authored numerous papers and multi-media case studies, published in notable academic journals, and speaks at academic and professional conferences on her topics of research.
