Todd Bell
Todd Bell is the South Area Vice President / CIO for Verizon Wireless. Todd is responsible for overseeing all IT Desktop, Mobility, Wide Area Network operations, Call Center Technologies and Planning and Engineering for the enterprise. He is based at the South Area headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Bell previously held the position of Executive Director – EUS for the South Area of Verizon Wireless. In this role Todd was responsible for the day to day operations of End User Support of the IT Infrastructure located in the South Area. His team successfully pulled together four diverse networks shortly after the announcement of the Joint Venture in April of 2000. Prior to this he began his Verizon career in 1997 as Director of Information Systems, Southeast Region with Bell Atlantic Mobile.
In 1993 he was hired as Vice President, CFO of NC4 Cellular Limited Partnership DBA Cellular One. Bell was responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management of the property from start up in 1993 to the sale of the market to Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1997.
In 1988 he began his career in Public Accounting at Cherry Bekaert and Holland, CPA's. As a Certified Public Accountant, he was responsible for auditing and tax work for corporations, partnerships, local governments and trusts.
Bell earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from Appalachian State University – Boone, NC.
Bell is active in the community, contributing to such projects as Habitat for Humanity, The American Cancer Society, Camp Sunshine and the Special Olympics. Todd is a Board Member of the Technology Association of Georgia and has formerly held Board of Directors seats for the YMCA, Jr. Achievement, and the United Way - Young Philanthropists organization. He is a Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Shelby, NC. Todd is also a member of the North Carolina Association of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.
Todd and his wife, Amy have two children and reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.
