Mission:

TAG Government Technology (TGT) mission is to make information technology deliver more efficient government services to citizens and communities against a backdrop of limited resources.

Objectives:

TGT will provide thoughtful, pragmatic analysis of the implications and opportunities of technology policies in our state. TGT should eventually prepare testimony for congressional committees, analyze proposed federal regulations, form coalitions with other TAG societies and external organizations, and educate policy makers on the technology policy needs of states and Federal agencies residing within the borders of our state.

TGT will promote Innovation and Support to local technology companies located in the State of Georgia and will promote legislation to attract more technology companies to the state. TGT will also encourage greater state investment in education in technology.

TGT will work to broaden the concept of technology for the growth of the state of Georgia and ensure real investment in state systems and infrastructure.
