Stacie Hagan is Chief People Officer for EarthLink, Inc., a leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure and services to medium-sized and large businesses, enterprise organizations, and over 1.5 million residential customers across the United States. As a member of EarthLink’s executive team, Stacie is responsible for overall people strategy design and implementation including organization design, workforce and succession planning, talent development, compensation, benefits, HRIS, recruiting, employee relations and compliance.
Stacie’s work in recent years has focused on business restructuring and change management, ranging from disciplined cost management resulting in significant free cash generation, to multiple strategic acquisitions that have transformed EarthLink’s mission and future business direction. Her role included co-leading an extensive business evaluation which led to significant restructuring by exiting underperforming lines of business, aligning operating costs with revenue, and re-focusing the organization’s workforce on core products and services. Stacie held responsibility for delivering a people strategy that would honor the exiting workforce, and stabilize and retain critical talent while ensuring uncompromised business results. As a member of the executive team, Stacie partnered in evaluating multiple strategic transactions and now co-leads the integration steering committee for three acquisitions that increased overall revenue by 170 percent and expanded the workforce from 550 to 3,500 employees. Stacie serves as the executive liaison to EarthLink’s Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, and as a key advisor to the Board and CEO on leadership selection and succession planning.
Prior to joining EarthLink, Stacie was co-founder and President of SynerChange International, Inc., an executive coaching and organization development consulting firm with proprietary materials to improve innovation, communications, change management and leadership skills. Her work involved public speaking, training, and consulting, and her leadership resulted in partner offices in Antwerp, Chicago and Helsinki. While with SynerChange, Stacie held a faculty position at The Leader Academy in Belgium and co-authored The Chicken Conspiracy: Breaking the Cycle of Personal Stress and Organizational Mediocrity (1999).
Stacie is a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and for the Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF). She is a graduate of Yale University.
