Joan Herbig

Joan Herbig 

Named CEO of ControlScan in late 2007, Joan Herbig is responsible for expanding the company’s position as a leading PCI compliance and security provider focused on ISOs and acquirers serving small to mid-sized merchants.

Prior to joining ControlScan, Joan was CEO of Cambia Security, Inc. until its acquisition by nCircle Security in April 2007. Prior to Cambia, Joan also served as CEO of XcelleNet, Inc., which was acquired by Sybase in May 2004.

Joan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), which she chaired in 2008 and the Presidential Advisory Board for the Electronic Transactions Association. She has also authored articles for recognized industry publications including Transaction Trends, The Green Sheet and Electronic Retailer.

Joan earned a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
