Andrew Rico

Andrew Rico is a Senior Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager at Silicon Valley Bank’s regional office in Atlanta.  He is responsible for leading the Atlanta-based relationship management team, which caters to more than 150 technology and life sciences clients throughout Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.    Andy opened SVB’s Research Triangle Park, NC office in March 2000, which he led for three years prior to relocating to the Bank’s office in Northern Virginia.  He led the team in Northern Virginia for three years prior to moving back to Atlanta in 2006.

 Mr. Rico joined SVB in June 1998 as a Vice President in the Southeast Division headquarters in Atlanta, GA.  Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, Mr. Rico gained middle-market banking experience through his seven-years of service at SunTrust Bank and First Chicago NBD.  He earned an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1998 and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University in 1991.

 Andrew currently serves on the Boards of the Technology Association of Georgia and the Technology Executive’s Roundtable.  He is a former Board Member and Treasurer for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development in North Carolina.  He has also served on the Boards of the Southeast Life Sciences Association and the RTP chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.  He has lectured and served on various technology and finance related panel discussions, including the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, Georgia Institute of Technology, Biotechnology Development Institute, the Biotech 2000 conference, BLG Ventures Conference, the Fuqua School of Business, the North Carolina Bar Association, University of North Carolina School of Law, firstround.org, NCEITA and the South Florida Technology Association.

 Mr. Rico resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife and three teenage daughters.
